 Who's Who on
 Day Break

I love this show, but I need a scorecard to keep track of who's who. You may watch all 13 episodes at abc.go.com. If I missed listing which episode someone was in, please let me know.

PRINCIPAL CHARACTERS

Detective Brett Hopper (Taye Diggs)
Our detective hero who is reliving the same day over and over, a day in which he is being framed for the murder of y Assistant District Attorney Alberto Gonzalez. You'd think he would learn to turn off his cell phone when he's eavesdropping on killers.

Assistant D.A. Alberto Garza
He's murdered the night before Hopper wakes up for the repeating day. I'm led to believe that he was building a federal case, but am uncertain how big the case was. We see only his body in a coffin.

Rita Shelten (Moon Bloodgood)
Hopper's girlfriend, a compassionate nurse who wakes up beside Hopper every morning. Each day, whoever is framing Hopper kills her (or tries to) to show Hopper that this is serious business. In one episode, when Hopper loudly and publically admits to killing Gonzalez, Rita is spared.

 Andrea Battle (Victoria Pratt)
Hopper's current partner. She's under investigation by Internal Affairs for large cash withdrawals that seem to be being used to support a drug habit, but IA doesn't realize it's not her habit she's supporting.

 Damian Ortiz (Ramon Rodriguez)
Hopper's inside informant against the Latin Disciples. But is location in a safe house was revealed to the mysterious main bad guy. Damian and his two Latin flunkies know that the info had to come from either Hopper or U.S. Attorney Nathan Baxter--and Damian is determined to kill whichever it is.

 Chad Shelten (Adam Baldwin)
Rita's ex-husband and Hopper's ex-partner, now in Internal Affairs. He's still got a thing for Rita and is perpetually angry at Hopper, but is basically a good guy and will protect Hopper's life in a pinch.

 Arman D. Spivak (Mitch Pileggi)
The balding homicide detective trying to get Andrea to flip on Hopper in return for getting Internal Affairs off her back.

 Christopher Choi (Ian Anthony Dale)
Spivak's partner. Disagreements with Spivak from time to time, but generally on the same page.

 L. Buchalter (Michael McGrady)
Graying, gruff ex-deputy who is now a thug for mysterious bad guys. He also pulled over Rita on a traffic violation in 2002.

 Fenick (Joe Nieves)
Ex-deputy, now thug for mysterious bad guys. Darker hair and a poor excuse for a mustache.

 Isabella Contreras / "Jane Doe"
The victim of a long-ago unsolved murder case in which Eddie Reyes was the first officer on the scene and Hopper's father was the lead detective. It's her picture that Garza sent to Hopper's sister (and we see her only in pictures).

 Conrad Detweiler (Jonathan Banks)
Our shadowish bad guy. We don't actually hear his name until Episode 6 when Hopper visits him. Whenever he captures Hopper, he takes him to an abandoned quarry to intmidate him, usually by showing Rita's gruesome death.

Barry Colburn (John Rubinstein) [Ep. 1,7,12,13]
One of the best defense attorneys in the state. Baxter gets him to defend Hopper in Episode 1. He shows up later in the Santayana Club in Episode 7 and plays a role in later episodes.

Tobias Booth (John Getz) [Ep. 6,8,9,12,13]
City councilman later found to be Detweiller's boss.

 Jennifer Matthis (Meta Golding)
Hopper's sister, a school teacher.

Randall Matthis (Don Franklin) [Ep. 1,4,8]
Jennifer's husband (Hopper thinks he's abusing Jennifer) and school principal.

'Uncle' Nick Vukovic (Jim Beaver) [Ep. 8,9,11,12,13]
Hopper's father's long-ago partner.

Margo Clark (Bahar Soomekh) [Ep. 1,2,12,13]
A girl who will be mashed by a bus unless Hopper changes her timing. She is an assistant to Judge Nitzberg, whom we haven't seen by Episode 6.

Nathan Baxter (Michael B. Silver) [Ep. 1,3,5]
The U.S. Attorney who spilt the beans on Damian because Buchalter and Fenick threatened him. He's also the one who gets Colburn for Hopper's attorney in Episode 1.

Jarod Prior (Clayton Rohner) [Ep. 1,2,5,7,13]
Sister Magdalena (Julieta Ortiz) [Ep. 6]
 Lloyd (Brent Jennings) [Ep. 7]
Surfer Dude with a gray beard who bites Hopper on their first actual meeting (I couldn't find a pic with his grey beard); the nun (with one brown eye and one blue eye) who provides a photo to identify Isabella; the bartender at the Santayana Club (the pic is from the cast of Witness). Sure, you don't think they're primary characters, but you haven't yet seen Season 2, now have you?

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

Ava Reece (Peyton List) [Ep. 2(voice),3,4]
Twice, she ends up dead in Baxter's pool. She seems to be having an affair with Baxter and also running errands for Garza who told her to mail two packages: The hourglass to Hopper and a picture of an old murder victim to Jennifer Matthis.

Eddie Reyes (Nestor Carbonell) [Ep. 4]
An ex-cop booted for a continuing drug addiction and now Andrea's love interest. When Andrea changes her morning behavior to take Eddie to a rehab program, it is the first sign that Hopper's behavior on one run of the day can affect the next day.

Lt. Romero (Clifton Powell) [Ep. 5]
SWAT leader who comes on the day when Hopper takes Chad prisoner.

Elizabeth Hopper (Jenifer Lewis) [Ep. 8]
Hopper's mother.

Luis Torez (Raymond Cruz) [Ep. 9,10]
Latin disciple go-between for Booth.

Mr. Zeitoun (Kamal Marayati) [Ep. 1,3,10]
Hopper's building superintendant and neighbor.

Danny Yan/"Slim" (Eric Steinberg) [Ep. 4,9]
Eddie's Supplier. He runs a strip joint and has thugs of his own.

Julissa Garza (Marlene Forté) [Ep. 7,9,13]
She fingers Hopper as the killer of her husband.

Miguel Dominguez / "The Crying Man" (Luis Saguar) [Ep. 10,13]
The owner of the fingerprint on the hour glass, but he's been in prison for years.

Billy Foster (Colin Kim) [Ep. 12]
Rita's brother and the link to Curtis Foster, her long-dead father.
